Advantages of Hypercube and Docker

The planned Caduceus network upgrade to 100,000 persistent transactions per second (TPS) and the use of hypercube architecture and the Docker platform will enable the rapid deployment of metaverse applications.

Each node in the hypercube system transmits a maximum of N-1 bits of data. To broadcast to the whole hypercube network, an N-bit hypercube requires a total of two N-1 messages, and with the implementation of an N-bit hypercube network, the entire P2P network becomes controllable.

The message broadcast from a node will go through a maximum of 10 others before it reaches all nodes on the network. If the connection speed between nodes is 5 milliseconds, it will only take 10 milliseconds to reach the entire network, ensuring all nodes receive the message with a minimal number of broadcasts.

Because Caduceus uses hypercube technology, which operates with low traffic at very high speed, the network can support a greater number of rendering nodes while achieving high capacity and efficiency.

The Docker Advantage

Whether it is application execution speed, memory consumption or storage speed, it is more efficient than traditional virtual machine technology. As a result, a rendering system with the same configuration can frequently run a larger number of applications with Docker than it can with a virtual machine.

Traditional virtual machine technology often requires several minutes to launch application services, but Docker applications, which operate directly on the host kernel and do not require the launch of a full operating system, can start in seconds or even milliseconds. This significantly reduces development, testing, and deployment times.

A common problem during the development process is environmental inconsistency, which can prevent the discovery of bugs and defects. Docker’s image solves this by providing a complete runtime environment, excluding the kernel, ensuring consistency throughout the process.

3. Continuous delivery and deployment

By modifying application images, Docker enables developers to achieve continuous integration, delivery, and deployment. Developers can use Dockerfile to build an image and test with a continuous integration system, while the image is quickly deployed to the production environment, or even automatically with a continuous deployment system.

4. Easier migration

Docker is the perfect solution for application migration since it guarantees the consistency of the execution environment. Docker can run on many systems including physical and virtual machines, laptops, and public and private clouds, with consistent results. This makes it easy for users to migrate applications from one system to another, without concern that an application will fail to execute due to a change in operating environment.

By combining the benefits of blockchain, hypercube and edge computing technology with Docker, Caduceus is able to build an all-encompassing metaverse application ecosystem — an app store for the metaverse.
